Asphalia -Memory (0)

Asphalia-Memory

For Natural Memory  Most of us occasionally suffer from short term memory loss as a normal human condition. Memory is partly the result of how efficient our brain cells are in relaying information between neurites, the “tentacles” growing out from astrocytes (a common type of brain cell). The process is complex but science has discovered that cerebral function is assisted by nerve growth factor (NGF).

In 2008 Japanese scientists discovered that a certain mushroom (Hericium erinaceus, common name Lion’s Mane) could significantly improve cognitive function (e.g. poor memory) by promoting neurite outgrowth. In their randomised placebo controlled clinical trial 30 patients were given either the mushroom or a placebo. Then the results were compared over a sixteen week period. Even after 4 weeks there was a significant improvement in the candidates taking the mushroom compared with those given the placebo. This improvement continued during the 16 week trial period. After cessation the cognitive performance of the patients taking the mushroom slowly declined but not back to baseline.

Lion’s Mane mushrooms have been used for centuries in China and Japan as a food without ill effects and they are not regarded as a novel food by the EC so can be openly sold within European member states.

Asphalia grow the mushrooms in the UK and dry them at 25 degrees to preserve the proteins before cold milling them at slow speed.  Our product is unique, being the only pure Lion’s Mane capsules delivering pure undenatured proteins from this amazing mushroom, without any additives, colourants or preservatives. Gluten free, and not tested on animals.

The trouble is ,modern packaging and preservation technologies often destroy vital nutritional components like vitamins, even though the produce fresh on the supermarket shelf.

To solve the problem the public is turning increasingly to supplements containing these missing nutrients.

As a result a quarter of us now add supplements to our normal balanced diet.

The Asphalia range of products in our Shop are all designed to promote health, weight control and sleep thereby maximising your ability to maintain good health.

A healthy lifestyle can be defined, achieved and maintained in many ways. Diet is believed one of the most significant building blocks in achieving an active lifestyle – and that the RoseRich product range can play a significant role in accomplishing great health and vitality.

Rosehip has for centuries been known for its health promoting properties and anecdotal evidence ranges from attributing the Vikings successful voyages to good health obtained from, amongst other things, dried rosehips;  to the “rosehip-syrup-program” during WW2 and the more recent research uncovering more and more of the secrets of rosehips

The Mapuche Indians – an indigenous people living in the Andes Mountains – have a unique culture and rely heavily on the wild rosehips that grow in these remotes mountain areas. Living in the Andes Mountains this group of people have come to appreciate the wild and natural rosehips as an integral part of their diet as well as part of their livelihood. Their community relies heavily on from income earned by handpicking these exceptional berries – the only type that is used in the RoseRich products. Pure and simple!
